Proper concrete cover protect steel bars from rusting
Steel is prone to rusting due to presence of moisture, carbon dioxide, chlorides etc in the atmosphere. Layer of good quality concrete prevent their contact with steel and prevent its rusting. CROSS LOCK cover blocks provide proper concrete cover under steel bars by maintaining proper gap between steel bars and shuttering.
The Self locking spacers
Displacement of cover blocks due to vibrations and flow of concrete at the time of casting in RCC constructions is a nightmare for engineers.
Self locking crosslock spacers resolves this problem. They locks themselves at the crossing of steel bars. Thus eliminating any possibility of displacement or rotation.
Faster concreting
No more hampering of concreting process to readjust cover blocks. Cross lock spacers does not come out during casting. Thus avoiding loss of costly casting time.
Not visible after opening of shuttering
Spherical ribs are provided under the cross lock spacers. They ensure their minimum contact with the shuttering. So they are not visible after opening of shuttering.
